Izipizi is a young and playful eyewear brand based in Paris. However, its products are also popular far beyond France's borders. This brand thus proves how a startup can quickly take over a market that is primarily dominated by large players.
The Story of the Izipizi Brand
The story of Izipizi began in 2010 in France. Three high school classmates from Lyon (Xavier Aguera, Charles Brun, and Quentin Couturier) decided at that time to "take over" the eyewear market. According to them, three things were enough – quality, design, and distribution. In 2012, the glasses with the See Concept brand saw the light of day worldwide. Although originally only reading glasses, the three friends and business partners decided a year later to also expand the collection with sunglasses. They were very well received.
This story shows how a startup can completely overturn established "orders" within a few years. The luxury eyewear market was long dominated by large brands, but this has changed. See Concept glasses with various colored frames, which were named Izipizi, adapted to all face shapes, were comfortable, had a vintage style, and were available at affordable prices. Over time, the entire brand was renamed to Izipizi, and under this name, it remains very popular today.
Note: The See Up concept, which included self-service reading glasses, was very successful. These glasses were freely available in places where they were needed, such as banks or restaurants.
Izipizi Glasses are High Quality, Affordable, and Visually Appealing
The Izipizi brand currently offers not only prescription glasses and sunglasses, but also glasses designed for reading on digital devices. But why have they achieved such great popularity in just a few years?
- Izipizi glasses have a unique style, which is very simple, yet (or perhaps precisely because of that) manages to capture attention at first glance. They ensure the wearer a unique appearance. Each model is also suitable for men or women, but there are also unisex and children's variants.
- You can buy these products in different shapes. Square frames are optimal for round, oval, or triangular face shapes, and pilot frames are suitable for square, oval, or triangular faces. Round frames are again an ideal choice for people with square or oval faces.
- Each model can be purchased in various color editions. In this regard, it is good to consider skin tone and hair color. For example, green frames are excellent for cool skin tones and dark brown, reddish, or black hair.
- In addition, Izipizi glasses also have excellent practical features. They are, for example, made of quality plastic, which ensures increased resistance to mechanical damage as well as weather conditions. At the same time, they are comfortable to wear, thanks to the easy fitting, which is due to the ability to open the sides more than 90°.
All offered products can be purchased at very affordable prices. Regardless of the variant, the vast majority of Izipizi glasses can be found for under a thousand. Therefore, their purchase will by no means break the family budget.
Izipizi Eyewear Collection
Izipizi glasses are now available in several model series, which differ in their use. The individual models are categorized into three basic categories, which we will focus on in the following sections.
- Izipizi Reading – as the name suggests, these are prescription reading glasses. Their construction is either dark or multi-colored. They are intended for reading from paper. Additionally, there is a variant called Reading Sun, which are prescription reading glasses with tinted lenses that protect the wearer from ultraviolet rays.
- Izipizi Reading Screen – glasses designed for reading from screens on digital devices (computers, mobile phones, tablets, etc.). They have a filter that absorbs up to 40% of blue light, which negatively impacts the eyes and can disrupt sleep. Therefore, their use is recommended.
Izipizi Sun – sunglasses reliably protect against UV radiation. Available variants include Sun Baby (for children from 0 to 9 months), Sun Kids (9 to 36 months), Sun Kids+ (3 to five years), and Sun Junior (5 to 10 years). Of course, you can also purchase products for older children and adults in model series such as Glacier or Rock Garden.
